What helps us give you a real number
Have the pickup and delivery addresses ready, along with roughly how large the home or office is and the date you have in mind. Mention anything out of the ordinary, such as a piano, a hot tub, a gun safe, or a unit with no elevator, so the estimate matches the job rather than a generic guess.
If you already know whether you want help packing, tell us up front. If you are undecided, we can walk through what full packing, partial packing, and doing it yourself each actually involve, and you can choose once you understand the tradeoffs.
How we build the estimate
A local job is scoped by crew size and hours, based on your inventory and how easy or hard access is at both ends. A move leaving Connecticut is scoped by weight and distance instead, with the final number tied to a certified scale reading rather than a guess.
Bigger homes and every commercial job get a proper walk-through, in person when we can manage it or over a video call where you point the camera into each room. A one-bedroom apartment is often simple enough to price from a written list of what needs to move.
When to reach out
If your date lands at the end of a month or somewhere in the summer stretch, three to four weeks of notice gives you the best pick of crews. A weekday in the spring or fall can sometimes be arranged with only a week to spare.
If another company backed out on you close to your date, reach out regardless of how little time is left. Schedules shift more often than people expect, and we would rather tell you honestly whether we can help than have you assume the answer is no.
What happens once you are booked
You will receive the arrival window, the crew size, and a short list of things worth doing in the days beforehand, such as clearing a path to the door and setting aside anything you plan to carry yourself. We check in a day or two before the date and once more the morning the truck sets out, so you are never left guessing when it will arrive.
