Full-service packing
A dedicated packing crew arrives the day before most house moves, or the same morning for a smaller apartment, and works through the home room by room. Each item is wrapped, boxes are filled fully so nothing shifts in transit, and every carton is labeled by room and contents.
By the time the loading crew arrives, the house is boxed and stacked, and the day becomes about carrying rather than deciding what goes where.
Materials that hold up on the coast
We use double-walled dish barrels for glassware, wardrobe boxes so hanging clothes stay on the hanger, and picture cartons for anything framed. Grocery-store boxes soften in humid coastal air and collapse when stacked, which is a real problem in a truck parked near the water on a muggy afternoon.
Partial packing for the tricky rooms
Plenty of shoreline families pack their own books, linens, and closets and hire us just for the kitchen and anything fragile. That keeps the cost down while putting the breakable items in trained hands. Tell us which rooms you want covered and the quote follows exactly that.
Unpacking at the new place
Unpacking means the crew empties cartons onto counters and into closets, reassembles furniture, and takes the flattened cardboard away with them. The house looks lived in by dinner instead of two weeks later, which is worth a lot to anyone starting a new job the following Monday.
Boxes you would rather handle yourself, such as personal papers or a home office, are simply set aside in the room you choose rather than opened without you.
Electronics and heat-sensitive items
Televisions and computers are photographed before cables come out, then wrapped with the cords bagged and labeled by device. Candles, vinyl records, and cosmetics are packed separately and loaded last so they spend the least time in a warm truck on a coastal summer day.
